Deep Tech
Deep tech (often shorthand for deep tech house) is a stripped‑back, groove‑led branch of house/tech house that emphasizes hypnotic repetition, swing, and sound design over big hooks. Typical tracks sit around 124–128 BPM, use tight, shuffling drum programming, and rely on deep sub‑bass, crisp hi‑hats, and minimal, percussive motifs. Harmony tends to be sparse—dubby chords, single‑note stabs, or short pads—leaving space for long DJ‑friendly arrangements. Vocals, if present, are usually snippets or whispered phrases processed with delay and reverb to blend into the texture rather than sit on top. The result is functional and heady: music optimized for long, seamless mixes, late‑night dancefloors, and a rolling, understated energy rather than explosive drops.

Copla
Copla (often called copla andaluza or canción española) is a dramatic Spanish popular song style characterized by narrative lyrics, big emotions, and theatrical performance. It typically tells compact, melodramatic stories of love, jealousy, honor, betrayal, social stigma, or fate, delivered by a solo singer with highly expressive phrasing. Musically, copla favors clear tonal harmony (often minor-key), memorable melodies, and accompaniment that ranges from guitar or piano to full orchestra or band. Rhythms frequently draw on pasodoble and bolero feels, with touches of flamenco color and the Andalusian cadence that imbue the songs with a distinctly Iberian character. Historically linked to stage and cinema, copla thrives on performance: commanding vocals, precise diction, and emotional acting are as central as the music itself.

Cuplé
Cuplé is a Spanish theatrical song style that flourished in the early 20th century, performed by star female vocalists known as cupletistas in cafés-concert, varietés, and revista (revue) stages. It is characterized by short, catchy strophic songs with memorable refrains, light dance rhythms (often in 2/4 or 3/4), and lyrics rich in double entendres, urban picaresque humor, and flirtatious innuendo. Musically, it leans on simple, singable melodies and straightforward harmonies (tonic–dominant–subdominant), frequently colored by habanera-tinged rhythms or gentle pasodoble sway, and is usually accompanied by piano or a small pit orchestra. While it shares space with zarzuela and later copla, cuplé is lighter, more risqué, and cabaret-like, foregrounding personality, gesture, and costume as much as the song itself.

Bolero
Bolero is both a Spanish dance-music form from the late 18th century and, later, a Cuban song style from the late 19th century. The Spanish bolero emerged as a moderately slow solo or partner dance in 3/4 time, shaped by Andalusian song-dance traditions. It typically features guitar accompaniment and castanets, and its sung texts often follow the seguidilla stanza pattern. In Cuba, bolero evolved into a romantic ballad—most often in 2/4 (later also felt in 4/4)—performed by singers, trios, and salon ensembles. Cuban bolero emphasizes intimate, lyrical melodies, guitar-led accompaniment (often with requinto), and gentle Afro-Caribbean rhythmic undercurrents (habanera feel, soft bongo, claves), becoming one of Latin America’s quintessential love-song forms.
