Plugg is a trap-derived hip hop subgenre that rose through online, producer-led scenes—especially SoundCloud—in the mid-2010s. It is known for minimal, “compact” drum programming, sub-heavy 808 basslines, and bright, sparkly melodic loops (often piano, bell-like keys, airy pads, or icy synth leads). Vocals are typically melodic and laid-back, leaning into Southern rap cadences and Auto-Tune, with hooks that feel floaty and repetitive over spacious low-end.

Fluxwork is a contemporary microgenre of electronic music optimized for sustained concentration and “flow state” listening. It blends the warmth and space of ambient with the pulse and structure of minimal techno and microhouse, emphasizing unobtrusive rhythms and gradual, textural movement. Tracks usually feature understated four-on-the-floor or gently broken patterns, soft sidechained pads, subtle arpeggios, and carefully filtered transitions. Vocals, if present at all, are sparse and textural. The result is music that feels propulsive yet calm—capable of fading into the background while quietly supplying kinetic focus.

Shush is a functional microgenre of sleep-oriented audio built around continuous “shh/sshhh”‑like broadband noise and closely related soothing textures (white, pink, or brown noise; soft rain; waves). Producers design long, loopable tracks with minimal dynamics and no melody so the sound masks environmental noise and promotes infant and adult sleep. As a name, “shush” reflects the centuries‑old caregiving practice of calming babies by sustained shushing, which modern sleep science popularized through white‑noise devices and smart soothers. Contemporary catalogs typically offer multiple “shush” timbres (fast/slow shush, hair‑dryer, train, brown/white noise) and publish them on streaming services in multi‑hour formats.
