MAGA rap is a politically explicit micro‑scene within U.S. hip hop that explicitly endorses right‑leaning, pro‑Trump ("Make America Great Again") themes. It blends contemporary trap sonics, chant‑ready hooks, and meme culture with patriotic imagery, faith references, and anti‑establishment rhetoric from a conservative perspective. Stylistically it relies on modern hip‑hop production: 808 bass, brisk hi‑hat patterns, and anthemic refrains designed for viral spread on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter/X. Lyrically it is overtly topical—name‑checking politicians, policies, slogans, and news memes—and often uses call‑and‑response structures to turn political slogans into stadium‑style choruses.

Trap metal is a fusion of contemporary trap production and the aggression of metal and hardcore. It typically pairs distorted 808 bass, half‑time trap drums, and rapid hi‑hat rolls with screamed or harshly delivered vocals, down‑tuned guitar riffs (live or sampled), and industrial textures. Aesthetically, it emphasizes raw intensity, mosh‑pit energy, and abrasive sound design while retaining hip‑hop’s hook‑driven song structures and lyrical cadences. Themes often revolve around alienation, rage, nihilism, and personal struggle, delivered with a visceral, cathartic tone.

Scream rap is a high-intensity rap style defined by screamed, shouted, or harsh-vocal delivery over trap-leaning beats. Rather than relying on metal-style guitars, it typically keeps a hip-hop rhythmic core—808s, rattling hi‑hats, and booming sub-bass—while pushing vocals and drums into aggressive saturation and intentional clipping. The result is a cathartic, visceral sound that fuses the emotional volatility of screamo and hardcore punk with the swagger, rhythm, and production grammar of contemporary rap. Lyrical themes often center on rage, alienation, mental health, and internet-era nihilism, but also on boastful energy designed for moshpits and explosive live shows.

Coke rap is a hip hop substyle whose lyrics center on street-level cocaine trafficking and the economy, risks, and status dynamics surrounding it. It is not defined by a single exclusive sound palette, but it is commonly delivered with a cold, minimal, and tense atmosphere that supports detailed “hustle narratives,” vivid imagery, and morally complex storytelling. Coke rap often overlaps with gangsta rap and mafioso rap in subject matter and tone, but it is more narrowly focused on cocaine dealing (bricks, re-up cycles, supply chains, surveillance pressure, and profit calculus) as the organizing theme of the writing.

Miami hip hop is the rap tradition that emerged from Miami and South Florida, distinguished by subwoofer-rattling low end, chantable hooks, and a party-forward sensibility that grew alongside the city’s club and car-audio cultures. Rooted in the 808-heavy sound of Miami bass and shaped by East Coast lyricism, Southern swagger, and Latin/Caribbean diasporas, the scene spans from Luke-led booty-shake anthems to the gritty street narratives of Trick Daddy and Rick Ross, and the bilingual, pop-leaning crossover hits of Pitbull and Trina. In recent years, it has also intersected with the internet-born South Florida wave, keeping the region’s sound both club-ready and continually evolving.
