Liquid riddim is a melodic, atmospheric strain of riddim dubstep that fuses the sparse, half‑time bounce and call‑and‑response bass writing of riddim with the lush pads, emotive chord progressions, and airy textures of liquid drum and bass. Compared with heavier festival riddim, liquid riddim favors fluid, legato bass timbres, glassy arpeggios, and generous reverb and delay. The result is a sound that remains dance‑floor friendly at 140 BPM yet leans introspective, dreamy, and sentimental, often using water‑like foley, silky supersaw layers, and soft vocal chops to enhance its “liquid” aesthetic.

Uptempo hardcore is a high‑velocity branch of hardcore techno built around extremely distorted, hard‑hitting kickdrums and rough, lo‑fi sound design. Tracks typically sit around 185–220 BPM, pushing energy and impact above complexity. The style borrows sound‑design tricks and aggression from gabber, terrorcore, speedcore, and modern Rawstyle/Hardstyle, favoring clipped, overdriven kicks, screaming leads, chopped vocal shouts, and minimal harmony. It thrives in Dutch and Belgian festival culture, where tightly mixed, relentless drops and crowd‑control edits are central to the performance.

Xtra Raw (often styled XTRA RAW or Extra Rawstyle) is an extreme, darker branch of Raw Hardstyle that pushes the genre toward hardcore and industrial territory. It emphasizes violently distorted, punchy kicks with wide low‑end, abrasive screeches, and an overall menacing sound design. Tracks typically run around 155–160 BPM, use complex kick‑roll patterns, syncopated off‑grid kick placements, and harsh, processed vocals or shouts. Sound palettes borrow heavily from industrial/techno timbres, while arrangement and crowd cues stay rooted in the hardstyle DJ format (intro/outro mixing space, mid‑section breakdown, and a drop built around signature kick and screech motifs).

Meme is an internet-native umbrella genre for songs and audio clips that are created for, shaped by, or propelled through online meme culture. It blends humor, parody, and fast-turnaround production with infectious hooks designed to spread rapidly across platforms. Stylistically, meme music is eclectic. It can be rap, pop, EDM, rock, or mashup-driven collage; the common thread is comedic framing, referential lyrics, exaggerated vocal processing, and recognizable samples that cue shared online in-jokes. Tracks often favor short runtimes, bold punchlines, and instantly loopable sections optimized for social media. Because it thrives on virality rather than a fixed instrumentation set, meme functions as a meta-genre. It borrows techniques from mashup culture, YTPMV, soundclown, nightcore, and novelty/comedy traditions, while using platform-specific aesthetics from YouTube, SoundCloud, Vine, and TikTok.

Rally house is a high-energy, festival-oriented strain of house music engineered to rally large crowds in arenas, stadiums, and mainstage settings. It blends the punchy four-on-the-floor of big-room and electro house with anthem-like melodic hooks, noisy risers, and explosive drops meant to trigger mass call-and-response. Typical productions sit around 126–130 BPM, feature supersaw leads, hard-hitting kicks with strong sidechain pumping, and dramatic, tension-building breakdowns that bloom into maximal, chant-ready drops. Producers frequently use crowd chants, claps, brass stabs, snare rolls, white-noise sweeps, and simple, triumphant chord progressions to maximize immediacy and impact.
