Classical music is the notated art-music tradition of Europe and its global descendants, characterized by durable forms, carefully codified harmony and counterpoint, and a literate score-based practice. Contemporary gospel is a modern form of gospel music that fuses the traditional message and church-rooted call-and-response of Black gospel with contemporary production and mainstream styles such as R&B, soul, pop, funk, rock, and later hip hop. It is characterized by rich vocal harmony (soloists, ensembles, and mass choirs), groove-forward rhythm sections, sophisticated keyboard-led harmony (piano, organ, Rhodes), dynamic modulations and extended vamp sections, and lyrics centered on praise, worship, testimony, and encouragement. Compared to traditional black gospel, contemporary gospel typically features sleeker studio production, radio-oriented song forms, and a broader palette of modern rhythms and textures.

Orchestral music refers to compositions written for an orchestra—a large ensemble typically built around a string section (violins, violas, cellos, double basses), complemented by woodwinds, brass, percussion, and often harp, keyboard, or other auxiliary instruments. A conductor coordinates the ensemble, shaping balance, phrasing, and expression. The style emphasizes coloristic timbre combinations, dynamic range from the softest pianissimo to explosive tuttis, and textures that can shift seamlessly between transparent chamber-like writing and monumental masses of sound. Orchestral writing underpins concert genres such as symphonies, overtures, and tone poems, as well as opera, ballet, and modern film and game scores. While orchestral writing evolved across centuries, its core craft centers on melody, counterpoint, harmony, register, and orchestration—the art of assigning musical ideas to instruments to achieve clarity, contrast, and narrative impact.

LDS is sacred and devotional music associated with members and institutions of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It spans traditional hymnody, large-scale choir-and-orchestra works, and contemporary pop/folk worship songs that emphasize faith in Jesus Christ, family, missionary service, and personal devotion. Stylistically, it blends 19th‑century Anglo-American hymn traditions and Western classical choral writing with modern adult-contemporary and singer‑songwriter sensibilities. Production ranges from reverent, text‑forward piano/strings ballads to expansive, cinematic choral/orchestral recordings, often created for meetings, broadcasts, and cultural events.
