TVアニメ「SHOW BY ROCK!!ましゅまいれっしゅ!!」オリジナルサウンドトラック

Anime phonk is an internet-native microstyle of phonk that fuses the genre’s hard-hitting 808s, distorted bass, and signature cowbell patterns with samples, motifs, and aesthetics drawn from Japanese anime culture. Producers stitch together chopped anime dialogue, openings/endings, city pop fragments, or anime-score textures with drift-phonk rhythms at brisk tempos, then brand the tracks with AMV-style edits, neon palettes, and character imagery. The result balances dark, driving club energy with nostalgic, emotive cues from anime and Japanese pop culture. It spread rapidly via TikTok, YouTube shorts, and AMV channels, where short edits accentuate the genre’s punchy drops and dramatic, cut-up vocal one-liners.

Anime rap is a hip hop microgenre that fuses contemporary rap flows and production with lyrical themes, imagery, and aesthetics drawn from Japanese anime and manga. Typical tracks reference specific characters, arcs, and tropes—especially from shōnen series—while using modern trap or boom-bap frameworks, energetic hooks, and cinematic, "anime opening"-style melodies. Producers often incorporate timbres reminiscent of anime soundtracks and J-pop, such as bright synth leads, string swells, choir stabs, and occasional quotations or re-compositions of anime motifs. The scene grew natively on YouTube and streaming platforms through cyphers, character-themed singles, and AMV-style visuals, creating a global, internet-first community that overlaps with nerdcore but focuses specifically on anime narratives and fandom.

Gufeng (古风, literally “ancient style”) is a modern Chinese pop-adjacent style that evokes the sound-world, imagery, and poetics of premodern China. It blends traditional instruments, pentatonic melodies, and classical literary diction with contemporary songwriting, recording, and distribution practices. Emerging largely from online communities and ACG (anime–comics–games/donghua) fandoms, Gufeng favors lyrical themes such as mountains-and-rivers landscapes, courtly romance, martial-arts chivalry, and historical fantasy. The production commonly combines guzheng, pipa, dizi, xiao, and erhu with soft pop arrangements, cinematic pads, and subtle electronic beats, resulting in a nostalgic yet fresh sound that is distinct from mainstream Mandopop.
