Noisecore
Noisecore is an extreme offshoot of hardcore punk that fuses the speed and abrasion of punk with the sonic demolition of noise rock. It is defined by chaotic song structures, extremely short track lengths (often just seconds), screamed or unintelligible vocals, heavy feedback and distortion, blast‑beat drumming, and noise-saturated textures. Many recordings embrace lo‑fi aesthetics, clipping, and intentional "anti-production," reflecting a conscious rejection of formal musical theory and conventional songcraft. While closely related to grindcore, noisecore tends to be even more amorphous and riff‑less, prioritizing raw texture, saturation, and impact over groove or metal riffing. It arose in underground tape-trading scenes and DIY venues, where immediacy, provocation, and extremity were the point.

Spamwave
Spamwave is a microgenre of vaporwave and sample-based collage that centers on the sounds, aesthetics, and affect of early-2000s internet clutter: spam emails, robocalls, pop‑up ads, infomercials, and adware/OS notifications. Producers loop, time‑stretch, and detune these commercial and computational artifacts into hypnotic, uncanny textures that feel both nostalgic and slightly menacing. Musically, spamwave favors slow to mid‑tempo loops, heavy reverb, pitch shifting, and granular edits. It blends corporate muzak, hold music, TTS voices, dial tones, and UI sounds with vaporwave’s dreamy pads and tape‑hiss patina. The result is a haunted-office ambience—equal parts retro tech nostalgia and digital detritus.

Scratch
Scratch (or scratching) is the musical art of rhythmically moving a vinyl record back and forth under a turntable's stylus while using a mixer’s crossfader or volume controls to shape percussive and melodic gestures. Although often described as a technique, scratch developed into a recognizable musical style centered on the turntable as an instrument. Tracks and live routines foreground cut-up vocal phrases, drum hits, tones, and sound effects, arranged in time like drumming, with highly codified gestures (baby, transform, chirp, flare, crab, orbit, etc.). The result ranges from funky, danceable textures to virtuosic, highly percussive displays associated with DJ battles and turntablism.
