Pop
Pop is a broad, hook-driven style of popular music designed for wide appeal. It emphasizes memorable melodies, concise song structures, polished vocals, and production intended for radio, charts, and mass media. While pop continually absorbs elements from other styles, its core remains singable choruses, accessible harmonies, and rhythmic clarity. Typical forms include verse–pre-chorus–chorus, frequent use of bridges and middle-eights, and ear-catching intros and outros. Pop is not defined by a single instrumentation. It flexibly incorporates acoustic and electric instruments, drum machines, synthesizers, and increasingly digital production techniques, always in service of the song and the hook.

T-Pop
T-pop is the umbrella term for contemporary Thai popular music. It blends Western pop structures and production with local Thai sensibilities, including melodic turns from luk thung/luk krung and regional styles like mor lam. In practice, T-pop ranges from glossy dance-pop and synth-pop to guitar-led pop-rock and tender ballads, often featuring bilingual Thai–English hooks, rap breaks, and choreography-friendly arrangements. Since the late 2010s, a renewed "T-pop" branding has highlighted idol groups and highly visual, social media–driven campaigns, while a parallel stream of singer–songwriters and pop-rock bands maintains the genre’s breadth.
