Hi‑Tech Full‑On is a modern, largely Japanese mutation of full‑on psytrance that injects the rapid timbral switching and glitchy, stuttered edits of complextro into the classic rolling psy bass and 4/4 drive. Typically sitting around 145–155 BPM, it keeps the euphoric brightness and supersaw leads of full‑on while adopting hyper-detailed sound design: bar‑to‑bar bass patch changes, abrupt mute/unmute fills, micro‑edits, and videogame/anime‑influenced FX. The result is intensely energetic, highly technical party music that feels both maximal and cleanly engineered.

Deep Darkpsy is a subgenre of psychedelic trance that sits at the intersection of Dark Psytrance and Forest Psytrance. Characterized by a tempo typically ranging between 148 and 160 BPM, it distinguishes itself from other dark styles by focusing on atmosphere and hypnosis rather than pure aggression or speed. The soundscape is often described as 'swampy', 'organic', or 'mechanical', utilizing complex FM synthesis to create squelchy, liquid textures that morph over time. Unlike the melodic hooks of Full-On or the chaotic speed of Hi-Tech, Deep Darkpsy relies on a relentless, rolling groove and immersive, often eerie, sound design to induce a trance state.

Psycore is an extreme, hyper-fast offshoot of psychedelic trance that emphasizes relentless tempo, dissonant sound design, and wildly intricate rhythmic edits. It typically runs at 170–220+ BPM, pushing beyond darkpsy and hi‑tech into a maximal, chaotic aesthetic. Rather than melodic themes, psycore focuses on texture, timbre, and kinetic motion: FM/PM-sculpted leads, metallic percussions, stuttered bass hits, and constantly mutating effects dominate the mix. The atmosphere is nocturnal, surreal, and often unsettling, designed for deep-night dancefloor intensity and altered-state listening.
