Take Me Back

LLDM (La Luz del Mundo) music is the devotional repertoire associated with the Church of La Luz del Mundo, a Mexican-born Christian movement. It spans congregational hymns, large mixed choirs, youth and children’s ensembles, and small-group formats such as guitar-based rondallas. Musically it blends Spanish-language worship songwriting with Mexican popular and folk idioms (bolero, ranchera, and occasionally mariachi textures), while also embracing contemporary Christian pop/rock arrangements. Texts emphasize praise to God, holiness, unity of the church, baptismal themes, and missionary zeal, often referencing the movement’s distinct ecclesial identity. In practice, LLDM repertoire ranges from stately SATB hymnody and a cappella choruses to lilting waltzes, gentle ballads, and upbeat, handclap-driven coros suitable for congregational participation.
