Crunkcore
Crunkcore (often called "scrunk") is a high-energy fusion of Southern crunk hip hop, scene-era emo/screamo vocals, and glossy, Auto-Tune–heavy dance-pop production. It is defined by loud 808s, ravey synth leads, chant-like hooks, and the juxtaposition of rapped party verses with screamed or growled interjections. The genre’s aesthetic is inseparable from late-2000s MySpace culture: neon visuals, tongue-in-cheek hedonism, and deliberately excessive vocal processing. Lyrically, it leans into parties, alcohol, sex, and irreverent humor, favoring immediacy and shock value over introspection. Its sound is intentionally brash and over-compressed, engineered for instant impact rather than subtlety.

Electro Hop
Electro hop is a rap-forward form of electronic pop that took shape in the mid‑2000s, pairing upbeat, four‑on‑the‑floor club grooves with catchy pop hooks and MC-driven verses. Its production borrows the shiny synth textures and big, side‑chained drops of Electropop and Electro House, while the vocal delivery and song structure draw directly from Hip Hop and Pop Rap. Unlike 1980s Hip House—which fused early House with rap in Chicago and London—electro hop emerged in the era of festival EDM and digital production, favoring supersaw leads, compressed drums, and radio‑ready refrains. The result is an accessible, dance‑floor‑oriented style where punchy 8–16‑bar rap verses alternate with memorable, sing‑along choruses.

Crunk
Crunk is a high-energy subgenre of Southern hip hop built for the club, the party, and the mosh-like dancefloor. It emphasizes booming 808 sub-bass, hard claps and snares, chantable hooks, and a shouted, call-and-response vocal style that turns the track into a crowd ritual. Typical crunk production relies on drum machines (especially 808s), short synth stabs, brass/string hits, and simple, aggressive grooves with minimal harmonic movement. MCs and hypemen deliver short, imperative lines—often repeated—designed to provoke movement, hype, and collective release. Rising from the Southern United States in the early 1990s and peaking in the mid‑2000s, crunk became one of the most dance- and club‑oriented branches of hip hop, with its influence extending into pop-rap, R&B fusions, and later trap aesthetics.
