Gateway Experience

Multidisciplinary music is an umbrella term for works and artists that deliberately fuse musical composition and performance with other art forms—such as dance, theatre, visual art, film, fashion, design, and digital media—so that sound is only one part of a larger, integrated artwork. Rather than treating music as a self‑contained style, multidisciplinary practice emphasizes concept, narrative, and staging. It borrows techniques from performance art, experimental theatre, installation, and contemporary dance, and frequently relies on electronics, projection, scenography, and choreography. The result is a hybrid experience in which musical form, movement, image, text, and space are designed together.
