Neoclassicism
Neoclassicism in music is a 20th‑century movement that revived forms, genres, and aesthetics from the Baroque and Classical eras, but reframed them with modern harmony, rhythm, and orchestration. It emphasizes clarity, balance, objectivity, and contrapuntal craft, often rejecting late‑Romantic excess while retaining a tonal or modal center enriched by dissonance, bitonality, and crisp rhythmic drive. Typical hallmarks include neobaroque dance suites, neoclassical sonatas and concerti, chamber‑oriented scoring, clean textures, and a dry, anti‑rhetorical performance style.

Grand Opera
Grand opera is a monumental 19th‑century French operatic form defined by large forces, spectacular staging, and serious historical or religious subjects. Typically laid out in five acts, it features extensive choruses, virtuosic arias and ensembles, full ballet sequences (the obligatory "divertissement"), and elaborate scenic effects that turn political and moral conflicts into public spectacle. Musically, grand opera expands the Romantic orchestra, favors accompanied recitative over secco dialogue, and uses coloristic orchestration, on‑ and off‑stage bands, and crowd scenes to heighten dramaturgy. It emerged at the Paris Opéra (Académie Royale/Impériale) in the late 1820s–1830s through works by Auber, Meyerbeer, and Halévy, and quickly became an international template for large‑scale operatic production.

Classical Organ
Classical organ refers to the Western art‑music repertoire written for the pipe organ, from its Renaissance emergence through Baroque, Romantic, and modern idioms. It is closely tied to the history of the pipe organ in churches and concert halls, whose basic design has been in use for over two millennia and became firmly associated with Christian worship by the 10th century. Stylistically it spans contrapuntal forms (toccata, prelude & fugue, chorale prelude), liturgical pieces, and concert works up to the 20th century, where Romantic “symphonic” organs enabled orchestral color on a single instrument and later modernists expanded harmony and rhythm. The repertoire’s expressive range runs from intimate, chant‑inspired meditation to large‑scale, architecturally resonant canvases exploiting 32′ basses, multi‑manual contrasts, and richly colored reeds and mutations typical of French and German traditions.
