A New Day Begins

Fallen Angel is a specific micro-genre and algorithmic grouping that represents the more melodramatic, emotionally overwrought, and fantasy-oriented side of female-fronted symphonic metal. It sits at the intersection of symphonic rock, gothic metal, and power metal, characterized by a 'beauty and the beast' aesthetic or purely operatic female vocals soaring over heavy, shred-happy instrumentation. The sound is defined by its cinematic grandeur, often featuring lush orchestral arrangements, twinkly piano melodies, and lyrics that explore dark romanticism, personal tragedy, and high-fantasy themes. It is often described as the 'uncool' but passionately earnest underbelly of the symphonic metal world.
